It’s high time that we dive into some bite-sized fun in this week’s Vault, don’t you think? Erotica is all about finding that sweet spot. What’s the minimum amount of words needed for a hot story to…do what it needs to do for the average erotica reader? Natasha Bender supplies us with a noteworthy attempt, delving into the science fiction erotica genre that we’re suddenly starting to embrace wholeheartedly here at TehBen.com. After all, it’s not about the size.. it’s about how well you use it.

Sexorcist by Natasha Bender doesn’t allow for much build up, and that’s actually a good thing. Rather than digging around for background information or an in-depth exploration of the environment, all of the cards are laid flat out on the table for us. Annaka is a young, sexually conservative woman that had one hell of a dream last night. I mean…it had to be a dream, right? As she’s preparing for her day, Annaka keeps playing out last night’s memory in her head, her dream of having raunchy sex with a demon. Despite the intense mind-fuck, Annaka motivates herself to get to work and try her best to get back to reality. Ugh, that office pig Gary is sniffing around this morning, what a douche. Hmm, why is Annaka so suddenly drawn to Gary this morning? What the hell is going on? Annaka’s lost all of her senses, something’s not right. The demon was real, and he’s not done sating his lust yet. Oh….fuck.
Despite its short timeframe, Sexorcist makes excellent use of the time allotted. Time skips make sense where appropriate, and the reader is treated to multiple sex scenes as Annaka and the demon paint the town red, white, and blue in search of their carnal desires. The contrast of Annaka’s perceived closeted sexual prowess with the demon’s need to satisfy his cravings gives an interesting twist of the “Jekyll and Hyde” dynamic. I’ve always been impressed with the execution of an erotic story when its framework could be mistaken for a cheap piece of pornography. Uptight gal possessed by a fuck-demon and needs heaping helpings of cock?… sure, it could be a disaster when you decide to put that on paper. Thankfully, the author writes the whole scenario with a level of intelligence that stimulates without being insulting…and keeps us firmly out of the “thrifty” bin of the local red light district.
Verdict: Sexorcist by Natasha Bender is a powerful little sex-tale that makes great use of time, and like a good neighbor, never overstays its welcome. The author’s prose paints a steamy picture, featuring multiple sex scenes that scale in intensity to match the progressing plot. Annaka, the demon, and the terribly fortunate men that cross their path tick all the right boxes for both one-handed readers and passive enthusiasts of smutty short stories. Was it all just a dream, or did we just stumble on a great new erotica author? Pinch me, I think it’s the latter.
