Welcome back to the Smut Vault gentle reader, dearest of all my friends. It can’t be all about the sex, you know. On occasion, to reach the best payoff you need a strong dash of humor to balance things alongside the sizzle of a sexy story. Today’s Smut Vault contribution takes this concept to heart as we look at a deep cut compilation of sexy stories and scenarios that know how to keep things light while still delivering us a good time sexually. It won’t be all rubber noses and fake arrows through the head, but I think you’ll have a good time like I did. Hide that serious face; let’s take a merry jaunt through the double steel doors of THE VAULT!
Thong of Thongs: 69 Sexy Jewish Stories by Kitty Knish is a compilation of sexy shorts with a plethora of different takes on the human experience, delivered with a good Jewish sense of humor. The cover is billed of course as 69 “stories,” however, for the most part I’d consider them “thoughts” or “anecdotes.” With each piece around a page or two in length, each story provides a nice setup and payoff that will more often than not leave a smile on your face with a fair and even glint of a sexy notation. There’s a fair mix of “fade to black” sexual activity along with the more direct approach as the stories progress. The mini-stories champion humor over sex for the most part, but there’s still plenty of passion to go around. This isn’t a “comedy” book per se, but how can you not like a story that gives you Adam and Eve’s Beer Garden of Eden and the lesser-known “Tree of Sexy Good Times?”
There’s an assortment of different setups for each story, and all contain at least a tinge of sex appeal. Whether it’s biblical, modern day, or a strange mash-up of the two, each piece does try to say something to give you thought after its brief conclusion. It reminds me of listening to that kooky uncle at the family reunion or annual BBQ. Sitting in the back corner drinking his weird liquor that he brought himself, he grabs you and a few cousins around the arm to regale in his funny anecdotes as you kids collectively roll your eyes in disdain. At first you’d probably like to be anywhere else in the world. However, as his jokes begin to payoff, sprinkled in with a few dirty words and phrases, he suddenly becomes your favorite relative and you share his silly remarks for the better part of the next six decades. This compilation is perhaps the literature equivalent of that. While I never dreaded it’s company, mind you, the book’s energy took a moment to settle in as I found myself chuckling at the first handful of scenarios. As the train keeps rolling, the observations and/or rib tickling jokes started to really stick with me, and I was already getting the notion to share some of these anecdotes with friends. Karl Marx and his socialist brothers going on a panty raid to “redistribute” the lingerie to the working class? I’m going to annoy my friends and family with that one for a long time to come, because that’s hall of fame stuff.
Verdict: Thong of Thongs: 69 Sexy Jewish Stories by Kitty Knish is a gifted compilation of stories, thoughts, anecdotes, jokes, and even a few truly erotic moments that will warrant a good time to anyone interested in the book by cover or title alone. It has long been a crutch of mine to say that things are “unique” but there truly isn’t anything like this out there to read. It’s not often that you can find a sexy compilation in which all (ADULT) age groups will find interesting… and even satisfying. Read it for yourself, or buy it for those relatives with that strong sense of humor, and an even stronger lack of shame.
