TehBen’s favorite nymphomaniac is back in Match Cinder & Spark Vol. 5. Bless H.H. for writing about the insatiable appetite of Lola, a sex-crazed seductress who’s bound to have a story that’ll definitely turn you on.

Lola and her man, H.H., run a blog together and have tons of adoring fans. H.H. likes to chronicle their sexual experiences together, and Lola loves the idea of other people hearing about her naughtiest moments. There’s a meta element to it all: You’re reading the book and getting turned on, and then you’re reminded that Lola would also be turned on by the act of you reading about her…it’s like a perpetual cycle of horniness!

This time around, we have another audiobook reading from the fantastic Jupiter Grant. I absolutely love Jupiter Grant’s voice work. Her voice is sexy and a sheer pleasure to listen to. These stories are told from the point of view of H.H., an older gentleman, and Grant nails the cadence of both H.H. and Lola perfectly. The two exchange dirty talk often, and having Grant in your ear reading both of their bawdy exchanges is just…*chef’s kiss*. Her narration truly elevates the eroticism of the entire package.

I had previously listened to another Match Cinder & Spark audiobook, and my one complaint about it was that some of Lola’s escapades were exhausting. I mean, this woman says she gets blue balls if she only cums twice in a row instead of three times in a row. I just don’t have the stamina of H.H. and Lo’ and can’t handle THAT much sex in one sitting! This wasn’t a super big complaint, mind you – I would just listen to a chapter or two at a time and then would have plenty more to listen to later.

On the other hand, Vol. V: Shorter Shorts was much more suited to my attention span (and libido). The audiobook chapters averaged at around eight minutes long, and they were all powerfully sultry. I personally enjoyed these short bursts of fiery prose better, because they function like little erotic lit quickies. This format worked super well for me, but your mileage may vary. An earlier volume with lengthier chapters may be more your bag if you enjoy a more drawn out slow burn of a story.

These stories were also surprisingly charming. There were dashes of real emotion with our lead characters – for example, Lola briefly experiences conflicted feelings about her sick father and H.H. discusses his struggles with mental illness. Now, you might be thinking, “hey, I don’t want real relationship drama in my sexy book!” But if you’ve been reading along with these two for FIVE VOLUMES, it’s nice to hear about the personal, non-sexual sides of them. Plus, it helps to ground some of the more over-the-top moments where Lola is cumming seven times in a single chapter.
The story I found the sexiest AND the most charming was “G.I. Confidential.” We get our usual Lola behaviors – she’s answering fan mail, sending nudes, and jilling it to strangers. Then, she happens upon a letter from a shy soldier overseas. He mentions that he misses his wife and REALLY misses having sex, but is a little too shy to ask his wife to send nudes or anything like that. Lola gets a thrill from the guy looking to her for sexual gratification, and sends him and all of his bunkmates nude calendars of herself.

As the chapter continues, though, Lola and H.H. convince the man to tell his wife about Lola and her blog so that he can open up to more intimacy with her. The soldier does so, and is surprised to find that his wife, whom he viewed as being so modest and vanilla, actually had a bunch of bubbling secret desires herself. In the end, the act of this soldier getting horny for Lola actually brought him closer with his wife! It was a genuinely cute story, and there was a little bit in there about all the buff and beefy soldiers jerking off in the shower together, so like…hot!
The book is filled with daddy kinks, NTR, circle jerks, and lots and lots of cum. Despite Lola’s voracious appetite for sex, everything usually stays relatively vanilla, which makes the story accessible. I do have to mention that there were at least two times where Lola engages in dirty talk involving, um, getting fucked by dogs. Those bits were a little too much for me, and turned me off big time. But hey, if you want to hear a lady say she wants to be mounted by multiple dogs, then Lola is definitely the girl for you!

Verdict: These bite-sized erotic stories are the perfect thing to slp into your ear on the train ride home from work after a rough day. Lola and H.H. have great chemistry, and you’ll be surprised by how invested you get into their characters. There’s plenty of stuff to get your rocks off here, even if there are a few times where the dirty talk might dip into some “red light” territory.
