We’ve had a lot of fun with this series, and challenged the author in ways that would make a lesser pensman turn tail and run. What’s in store for us this time? Demonic Domination: Squirt in Space by T.S. Lovecraft and narrated by Jupiter Grant is the third installment in the love story of Destiny, the unassuming girl from Texas, and Okon, her lust demon fiance. It’s been a crazy courtship, as we’ve seen her impregnated from their first encounter, and a trip to hell itself in part two, with plenty of animalistic sex thrown into the mix as well. For Squirt in Space, naturally, a trip into the stars and distant planets is in order as Okon has recently acquired a spaceship after helping a particular alien friend out of a jam. What wonders await the pair as they blast off into the big black? And what might happen to this dynamic when it’s no longer a pair?
Just as with the first two stories in this series, Jupiter Grant provides the narration for the Audible version. Her voice once again makes the story come alive with her lusty tone, and her character work should once again be commended. The wild scenarios come across with their appropriate tension, but her voice helps keep the audience grounded as we’re slowly fed a wonderfully erotic novella. But what of this story anyway?
I criticised the last story pretty heavily for its lack of focus, and for too many moving parts. Squirt in Space should be applauded for how much tighter (nice) the pace and tone are for its duration. While space travel and the intended destination are wild and silly, the main focus of the story is the added element of Destiny’s best friend. Snapping into existence at the snap of the lust demon’s fingers, Cathy appears jaybird naked and soaking wet. From the first story, Cathy was the pagan that helped Destiny summon the demon that cured her father’s cancer and led to the couple falling in love. In book two, Cathy showed up late for a quickie lesbian scene that (at the time) didn’t make much sense. Book three, however, brings the whole thing together as her sudden appearance weaves nicely into what the story is trying to say. Okon and Destiny were happy as a twosome, but it seems like this relationship might be better with three. Maybe a poly theme wasn’t the most important thing on the author’s mind, but it’s what sticks out most to me as a reader. I’ll save most of the details for your personal read/listen through, but it’s a fair and sexy look at a poly relationship despite the unrealistic background. Well fuck, with tentacle fucking and unexpected pregnancies in galaxies not of our own, it’s good to still have something this down to earth, so to speak.
Verdict: Demonic Domination: Squirt in Space by T.S. Lovecraft, and narrated by Jupiter Grant is a fitting capstone to a series that’s as sexy as it is adventurous. For this go ‘round, the author focuses on what works instead of trying to jam a lot of plot in a tight, sexy story. The sexual energy is riveting, and it was a pleasure to have my experience as a listener right along side the pair of lovers, which soon becomes three. The poly relationship is allowed its own space to bloom outside of the fantastic fantasy elements that will both engage and perhaps entice the lust minded consumer. If this is the last we see of this lust demon and his faithful submissive companions, they’ve been given a satisfying payoff. If there’s still more to come…well beam me the hell up, I’m down for another fantastic voyage.
