Anyway, let’s venture back into the happening world of BDSM and explore a first-timer expanding their horizons. Have your safewords at the ready for this one gang, as things are about to get rough. A Taste of Submission: The Good Indian Girl by The Secret Submissive is a first person perspective novella from the point of view of Leena, a young girl of Indian descent living in the United Kingdom with her family. For the past several weeks, Leena has been carrying on a telephone relationship with a gentleman named Matt. Sorry, dear reader, it would seem that I’ve mistyped. Leena is starting a relationship with a gentleman named “Sir.” Or at least, that’s what our hero is compelled to address him as. Leena is exploring her first taste of the BDSM life, and she’s jumping into it with both feet. Leena is learning the fine art of submission, and is slowly coming to understand her place within the context of this kind of relationship. With the baseline verbal cues understood, and the sizzling sexual tension reaching critical mass, it’s finally time for these two to meet. Due to the inconvenience of Sir’s marriage (more on that in a moment) and the conservative upbringing of Leena, all the pieces of this puzzle need to be carefully placed together. It’s finally the big day, and Leena sets out to meet him. It’s definitely going to be an exciting night…but did she bring enough toys?

The content of The Good Indian Girl is not for the faint of heart as both the concepts and variables presented within the story won’t pull any punches. Thankfully, I think the author took care to make this known from the beginning as by the bottom of the first page we’re already discussing the subjects of “thrashed ass and well-used cunt(s).” The story does settle down nicely, but I appreciate the firm start to let us know what to expect going forward. Combine this with the notion that Sir is married, and we’re getting ethically challenged throughout the proceedings, and not just with the rough sex. I probably dwelled on the subject more than was necessary, but I couldn’t get it out of my head that the male lead for this erotic story was married to someone else, seemingly without expressed consent from the unseen spouse. These sort of things (of course) really happen out in this crazy world, and it’s not my place to clutch pearls on the subject, just be ready to face this possibly inconvenient truth in your personal read through. Enough of my minor gripes, let’s talk about the good parts. All those dirty, shameless good parts!

Leena finally makes it to the prearranged location for the big meetup with Sir, and the ensuing evening is set to be a good one. The tension and natural tendency to be leery is palpable and the feeling is transferred well from writer to reader. Sir is kind enough to understand this is her first time, but that doesn’t mean she’s getting off easy. With large helpings of spanking, verbal play, trust exercises, and of course some good old fashioned intercourse, there’s plenty of options for the particular type of erotica reader you might be when taking it all in. There’s a deep level of real world experience jumping off the page that you wouldn’t get when reading a story written by someone who didn’t experience it themselves. The little details of movements and feelings adds an extra layer of depth which couldn’t come from research alone. We’re along for the ride, and she’s telling us everything we need to know.

Verdict: A Taste of Submission: The Good Indian Girl by The Secret Submissive is an electric first hand account of the author’s experience with their introduction to BDSM relationships, nicely aligning a “before-during-after” metric of their great leap into sexual freedom. Despite its somewhat uncomfortable background, or maybe quite because of it, the final result is an emotionally satisfying examination to the mindset of someone looking to explore this lifestyle on their own. With other stories in this Submission series creating the same sizzle, this author is setting themselves up to be a major player in the BDSM erotica community. Hope we don’t spoil the “Secret,” but this Submissive is welcome back to the Smut Vault anytime.
