The Ride by Savagely Sinister is a brief audio jaunt taking place during a memorable car ride from Arizona to Montana. The narrator, a young man driving the SUV, is journeying to Big Sky Country with his wife Laurie riding shotgun and her best friend Chloe who is seated in the back. Chloe is relocating to Montana to be with her boyfriend, and the married couple are helping to schlep her belongings up north. This should be a pretty standard and boring favor, but there’s something special about Laurie. In our narrator’s own words, she’s a “bit of a slut”. Oh, Laurie, that crazy ol’ slut…always teasin’ for a pleasin’ or fixin’ for a dickin’. Our narrator explains this in such a pleased tone…almost like he already knows what’s about to happen. Can our hero keep this fuckmobile firmly planted on the highway to orgasmville? And if so, with how many detours?
I could spend your precious reading time explaining the mechanics of the sex: the weirdly large amount of precum, the brazen ability of the driver to still manage to drive through most of the foreplay, the sheer disregard for the warranty of the vehicle’s carpeting…but there’s much more to discuss. This is no mere reading of a sex scene, this is a full on radio play! In a time before television, radio was how we received our entertainment. The theater of the mind was king, and it’s production was brilliant. To The Ride, there are elements used that take us back to the time of noir and polio. For one, the narrator only reads his own lines, with female voices taking the lines of Laurie and Chloe. Admittedly, they don’t have many speaking lines, but their mouths are plenty busy during the narrator’s oration. Sucking, squishing, moaning, slapping…all manner of sounds are playing in the background as the narrator does his best to explain the wanton disregard for highway safety taking place on the hard shoulder of the interstate. The actual three-way that takes place is no doubt a sexy experience, but I’m more blown away by the boldness of the presentation. It’s not for everyone of course, as the squishy sounds while some dude makes a guttural moan about his wife’s asshole contracting will be a bit too much to handle for those wanting to imagine their own background audio. There’s a lot to be said for this attempt though, it took a commitment that shows a true passion to the project.
Verdict: The Ride by Savagely Sinister is a unique example of a sex scene done in the style of old time radio. While it’s a hot and straight forward scenario, the FFM exchange is made more special as both voices and sound effects are included behind the narrator’s voice. That being said, it’s more of a wonder the driver didn’t pull the mother of all Billy Joels as the SUV no doubt wobbled its way to the hard shoulder. I’m looking forward to more audio smut performed in this style. Call me old fashioned, but this example of story telling deserves to live on into the 21st Century.
