It takes a little different touch when considering an audio book, as it’s sometimes hard to understand the theme without seeing it on the page. Today’s review will be quite the adventure, so let’s not waste a moment more. Have your finest mask and best shame defense on standby, it’s time to get weird!
The Costume Party: An Erotic Adventure: Jade’s Erotic Adventures, Book 16 by Victoria Rush and read for Audible by Jupiter Grant tells the debauchery-filled story of Jade and her best friend. Hannah has scored some tickets to the hottest, most exclusive party there is: a “nude costume party” held by an all-around eccentric billionaire. This type of party is sure to bring out some unique ideas from its party goers, but Jade has something in mind that’s considered wild even by these standards. Showing up to the party in a skin tight outfit leaving nothing to imagination, she’s also sporting a huge, hyper realistic penis dangling bare in front of her hot outfit. Heads are turning, and goodness knows what fantasies are popping up in the party goer’s heads. It looks like it’s going to be one hell of a costume party.
As per usual with this narrator, Jupiter Grant’s voice work does an amazing job of working multiple characters. With an elegant party of all sorts of unique characters, the subtle voice changes keep things interesting while still being clear and understandable as to who’s who. These characters themselves, left me a little confused.
This story looked to be presented as LGBTQ+ erotica, with elements of gender fluid and trans relations. Hearing this at the top of the story gave me a certain level of expectation. Certainly, Jade is bisexual and is looking to have sex with all sorts of people, and that’s fantastic. This costume party has the richest and most stubborn of male characters, true 1%ers with beautiful wives that all need a good screwing. Jade’s hyper phallus is up to the task, and the spontaneous sex is entertaining as well as pleasurable to anyone looking for a balance of power fantasy. Jade seems quick to criticize the male ego, as she makes her conquests at this party, which is frankly kind of amusing. I can’t quite understand why a person that open-carries an 11 inch cock with a trigger inflator, roughly fucking all the married women she can find would be so quick to critique the “male ego,” but I guess that’s just who Jade is. What’s not quite as wonderful though are some of the word choices. In the heat of the moment(s), Jade often refers to herself as a “tranny” or a “lady boy” when having sex with (what the reader could gather are) cisgendered females and males. Remember, I was informed by the copy material that this was a “trans” story. Perhaps my expectations were off-base, but the trans elements seemed more like a carny side show than an earnest sexual representation. This fake cock is inflated by pulling the trigger on a 6-shooter pistol with a vibration attachment all attached to the costume. Jade doesn’t seem to identify as someone on any gender spectrum, she’s just liberating some hotties with a fake cock while making heavy handed remarks to being a tranny. To Jade herself, anything more than physical expression is frankly irresponsible.
Verdict: The Costume Party by Victoria Rush and read by Jupiter Grant is a story that presents an interesting idea with equal parts mind melting erotic pleasure and confusing word choices coming from its characters. The MC’s unique costume outfit turns heads, and makes party goers see and feel what they might have been missing in their personal lives. The word choice out of the MC’s mouth in regards to trans people, while not clearly representing these same people in the story is awkward at best, and leaves some room for improvement. If we think about it a different way, perhaps we can see the glass as half full. Cucking some stuffy 1%ers? Great. Giving your partners some all-timer orgasms with a better than life cock? Yes please. We can’t lead to promise one thing and try to deliver another. This isn’t chiefly about LGBT, and it’s certainly not about love. This Costume Party was purely about cucking the establishment. Thanks to the story’s finale, the balance of power is literally shoved up its own ass in a play that while predicable, sells this true concept of the story…and that is something I can really get behind, LITERALLY.
