Everyone has that one racist uncle or a Fox News addicted grandparent that can’t unplug for even a moment to stop and smell the freedom roses. I’m sure everybody reading this knows someone close to them who is very pro kids in cages ( WHO CARES IF THEY’RE ONLY TWO? THEY’RE STILL ILLEGAL!), anti-vaccination (POLIO MAKES ME STRONGER AND SEXIER!), or just 100% in on the Trump Train (GRAB ALL THE PUSSIES AND PRETEND TO HAVE A THIRD GRADE EDUCATION!). They sure can suck, can’t they?
While these folks may have a gruff exterior, and lack basic human decency, there’s always the slightest possibility for them to have a shred of empathy somewhere in there. To bring that out, all it needs is a thoughtful nudge or two…or you could just make fun of them like the rest of us.
