Turning the Tables | Matt’s Smut Vault

Notice: Please note before considering this review, today’s article deals with consent issues in regards to BDSM. Reader discretion is advised.

Sorcha Rowan is bringing the heat with strap-on erotica again, folks!! This time, though, it’s ANGRY strap-on erotica – Turning the Tables is a story of some steamy torturous sex. I hesitate to call this an S&M story, since the key to S&M is consent. This is…well, more leaning into actual torture. Right off the bat, we gotta talk about that.

Before you decide whether to pick this one up, you need to know what you’re getting into. This is, essentially, a story about three women kidnapping another woman, tying her up, and having their way with her. You know, in a non-consensual kinda way. It’s a revenge fantasy, and a set-up like that is a bit tricky by nature. The scenario alone is going to turn some away, since a plot like that could be off-putting or even downright triggering for some, fiction or not. If a rape revenge fantasy isn’t your bag to begin with, steer clear of this one and go for Sorcha Rowan’s other pantsuit-and-strap-on lesbian erotica, I’ve Never Done This Before instead.

But if you ARE down for a little line-blurring, this one’s for you. After all, the beauty of fiction (especially pornographic fiction) is that you can indulge in some fantasies that are dangerous and, well, a little illegal. Let me give you a more fleshed out plot description: Jeanne is a bitch. She’s been blackmailing her “friends” Mel, Linda, and Sue, and they have had enough. During a lunch date, the three women drug her and take her to a whole ass sex dungeon. The plan is to film Jeanne getting spanked and spasming, so that they can turn the tables and have blackmail to hold over her for a change.

At first, Linda seems to be the only one confident and experienced in sexual domination. Mel is shaky and nervous, and Sue doesn’t say a word at first. But, after a while, everyone is having fun – even Jeanne. Turns out they all had some secret desires bubbling up inside them, and their little revenge plan has given them all the perfect opportunity to let them loose.

Between Jeanne spanking sessions, the three girls find themselves having a threesome and finding out that they’re all quite attracted to one another. Mel and Sue confess that they haven’t had the confidence to have such wild sex – Mel hadn’t even experienced a rimjob before that day! What a freakin’ virgin! Lucky for them, Linda is the kink queen and offers them what they’ve been craving all along. It’s kind of sweet, actually. And, similar to I’ve Never Done This Before, this story actually has a bit of a romantically hopeful ending. Yes, that’s right, the story about strapping up your blackmailer and whipping her naked has a little romance in it!

Despite the nonconsensual aspect of the story, it manages to follow all of the aftercare rules of S&M sex, too. They apply salve to their beaten bums, make it a point to ensure that everyone is well-lubricated, and always stretch before inserting any butt plugs or dildos. I mean, there’s no safe word usage because, y’know, they’re being mean to Jeanne, but still! Those little touches help ground the story in realism – nothing takes you out of a story more than realizing, “hey wait, their butthole wouldn’t have accepted that!” Or worse, “hey wait, that would definitely be painful in the not-fun way!”

Verdict: If you’re cool with the taboo premise, this story will supply you with a ton of lesbian sex, buttplay, and dirty talk. It straddles the line between sweet and spicy juuuust enough so that even folks who aren’t super into the premise can find something to like here. This could very well be the erotic novel that makes YOU want to explore your more dangerous side, just like Mel and Sue!
